Background of the Exhibition

With the development of world industry and the recovery of American economy in particular, it is estimated that the annual growth rate of the global glass fiber production will reach 5 % and that of the Asia area will hit 7%. In recent years, China's glass fiber industry has developed rapidly, with the output surpassing that of Japan, ranking the second in the world. With the agreement of CEPA and the integration of the two super engines --Hong Kong and Guangzhou, the whole peal river delta economic circle is surely to become a world-class economy giant.

In China, the demand for glass fiber in industries is increasing. It is predicted that by the year of 2004 the output of glass fiber in the whole country will reach 5.5 million ton, up 22%. The demand for glass fiber from such industries as electronics industry, land transport, infrastructure, architecture, wind power generation, glassed steel fishing boat, glass fiber roofing water-proof material, will provide new market opportunities for China's glass fiber industry. Therefore, to enhance the technological exchange and cooperation between the overseas and domestic glass fiber Composite material industry, and to accelerate the popularization and application of new technology, new products and new equipment, "China (Guangzhou) Glass fiber Composite Material Expo 2005'" , with China Glass Fiber Industry Association as the sponsor and Beijing ChinaBest Exhibition Service CO.,LTD as the organizer, will be held at Guangzhou City International Center .And during the corresponding period, 2005 China Glass Fiber Working Conference will be held.
