Haake DC 50 readout

This sub vi (LabVIEW 6.1 / win95) reads one data point from the Haake DC50. The calling vi should open the comport prior to using this sub vi.

Write the T3 command to the opened com port.

Wait 1000 ms before reading the response. Try lower values at your own convenience.

Read the number of characters on the opened com port. For the T3 command this should allways be 13. Next read the characters from the com port and create a sub string of 8 characters starting at character 2 (the 3rd character). Finally convert the string into a number.
