United States Battelle - Third International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds The Conference will emphasize field applications, along with laboratory, pilot, and modeling studies leading to innovative remediation approaches. Presentations will cover technological advances in characterization, remediation, and monitoring of soil, fractured bedrock, groundwater, air, and surface water contaminated by chlorinated solvents and other recalcitrant compounds, such as MTBE; PCBs/dioxins; 1,4-dioxane; explosives/nitroaromatics; pesticides/herbicides; PAHs; perchlorates; heavy metals; UXO; and anthropogenic chelating agents.
